Event for June 2026
Hello Orchid Lovers!
For the month of June we WILL NOT be having a meeting on the third Wednesday evening at The King of Glory Church. This is because the BIG SALE and open house at Janet Crist’s greenhouse on Saturday the 6th, is taking its place!
Our long time TVOS member, Janet Crist, has a huge greenhouse and well established business called Crist Orchids.
Janet has a WIDE VARIETY of Orchid genera which is a wonderful treat to see all at once.
The sale will be on Saturday, June 6th 10:00am-2:00pm
The doors will close promptly at 2:00 pm
The address is 6463 Sunrise Ave., Nampa
Please follow the pink and white balloons to the parking attendants.
Janet will be selling some of her species and cultivar orchids and also succulents and tillandsias.
Acceptable payment types only: cash, checks, Venmo, Zelle
(no debit or credit card sales)
There will be repotting demonstrations at 11:00am and 1:00pm
Remember the doors will close promptly at 2:00pm

UPCOMING EVENTS
Arrangements for all events for the rest of the year are not completely finalized yet. When each date gets closer, details will be added to this website and an email will be sent out to TVOS members.
Please let us know of any ideas you have. Some members have already given us some great ideas!
For July- We’ll be having our Silent Auction and picnic again at Steven Guerber park, Saturday, July 25th from 10AM to 2PM in Eagle. This is when you get to bring any orchids, other types of plants, and plant related supplies you want to sell. Our reserved spot is the Sunset Pavilion/section C. 2200 Hill Rd.
When it gets closer to the date more specific activity details will be posted.
For August- Alan and Donna have invited us to their house for a garden party on the 15th. There will be a finger food potluck of sweet or savory items. Alan will talk about managing the orchids in their greenhouse. They plan on having Nick Roberts install a carnivorous plant bog as a demonstration.

For December-we normally have our Annual Meeting, holiday party and potluck.
