Event for December, 2025
Hi orchid lovers!
It’s time for our annual meeting and potluck!
It will be on our regular meeting day, Wednesday December 17th.
We will be in a different location this time.
We’re going to be in the cozy clubhouse at the Western Riding Club, (one of our members is a member there as well).
We are going to start activities early so try to be there by 6:00.
Directions to the clubhouse:
Go south on south Cole Rd, past Costco. Go 1.7 miles then turn left onto Amity road by the Shell station. (Please don’t try to take the section of Amity road that enters over by the Boise airport).
Follow Amity, off of Cole until it turns into S. Umatilla and bear right(about .7 miles).
When you get to the big Indian Lakes golf course clubhouse on the left, slow down and look for the Western Riding Club sign, it will be lit up. Just before the sign, turn left onto Western Riding Club Lane. Follow the lane that bears right to the Riding Club clubhouse.
The cinder-block clubhouse will be lit up on the front, but the parking lot may not have lighting, so bring a flashlight just in case. A map link is below.

We’ll be holding a short business meeting to elect our officers for the next year and to let you know about any needed information about upcoming events. If you’re interested in being on the board please let us know.
For the potluck Pam will bring a ham to share. Everybody else can bring a dish to share that goes with ham like mashed or scalloped potatoes, or something completely different: an appetizer, salad, dessert, veggie or fruit tray, a hot vegetable, etc. If your dish needs serving-ware please bring it.The club will provide table service, coffee, and water.
There will door prizes and lots of Lindt truffle balls, here and there, for the taking.
If you want to bring your beautiful, blooming orchid that would be great, but we won’t be voting for “favorites” this time.
This is always a festive and fun event. We hope you all can make it.

As arrangements for all events for the upcoming year gets closer, details will be added to this website and an email will be sent out to you.
For January Alan Porter will do an “Orchid Doctor” presentation. Members can bring their orchids to the meeting for his input on any problems they are seeing.
For April we are looking ahead to having the show on April 18th and 19th.
